Small and medium enterprises have been decisive factors for the economic development in Taiwan. The small and medium enterprise of quality management upgrade project plan is based on the core concept of “developing Taiwan to be the best place for small and medium enterprises to start running businesses”. The plan is schemed in accordance with the economic changes around the world and the future needs of enterprises. It also accords with the policy announced by the Council for Economic Planning and Development, Executive Yuan (經建會) on the industrial development orientated by competitive advantages on January 1st 2004, and “Economic Development Vision for 2015 First-Stage Three-Year Sprint Program (2007~2009) Industrial Manpower Package (2015年經濟發展願景第一階段3年計畫)” presented by the Executive Yuan on October 25th 2005. The plan targets to assist small and medium enterprises to implement the system of quality management, train bright quality management professionals, improve management efficiency, products, service quality and level of small and medium enterprises, quality management competence and quality operation level, all of which may create a new impression of quality of Taiwanese small and medium enterprises. |

GSP standing for Good Service Practice is a system established by the Government and followed by service providers. Qualified service providers will be certified by the Government and the certification could be seen as some kind of encouragement. The certification may be seen as a safe, trustable and satisfying shopping environment for consumers. During the recent 3 years, over 556 enterprises and over 5600 shops have been certified, including China Motor Corporation (中華汽車), Hsin Tung Yang (新東陽)、MedFirst Healthcare Services,lnc (杏一), Well Care Health Care Supply (維康醫療用品), HB Housing (住商不動產), Nokia Taiwan (台灣諾基亞), Formosa Petrochemical Corporation (台塑加油站), Hi-Life Convenience Store (萊爾富), Nikomart (福客多), Dinks, Wines & Spirits Co., Ltd. (橡木桶洋酒), Shan Mai Food (先麥芋頭酥), Formosa Times (寶島鐘錶)、Pacific Sogo Co., Ltd. (SOGO百貨), Chungyo Shopping Mall (中友百貨), Hanshin Department Store Co., Ltd. (漢神百貨), Pacific Department Store Co., Ltd. (太平洋百貨), IKARI Coffee Shop (怡客咖啡), Ten-Ren Group (天仁茗茶) and Wellcome Gourmet (頂好超市) etc. Applicants may have free of charge and on-site consultation, inquiry services and training which may help standardize the operation and management systems. |
